Lyrics
When I was a child my mother’s presents was all that I seeked.
We were unbreakable.
For a while.
-She didn’t protect me but I didn’t know I needed protecting.
I didn’t know the things that happen to my family was wrong or ugly.
I just knew I didn’t like him. Any him.
I just don’t like him.
Any him I see in public,
any him that isn’t bad,
even the ones with beautiful intentions.
The him that made it be was it is for me to not like any man knows himself and what he’s destroyed.
I might have a way to live life without his words or his hands so I’m lucky but my mind still sees him every day. Just like my mother.
But she doesn’t mind.
-She doesn’t care.
About me,
her,
my family,
just
him.
